About Els Demeersman

Els Demeersman is an independent, fashion-conscious woman. Having worked for several years in northern Italy, her passion for Italian products and fashion has gone from strength to strength.

She devoted all of her time to major well-known Italian fashion brands - from haute couture to handbags, from shoes to jewellery.

She's been lucky enough to have the chance to spend time in a wonderful natural environment, among true crafts people - it was paradise! Definitely the place to be!

Interest in calligraphy

Even from a very young age, she was attracted to art in all its forms, from contemporary to modern art. From these beginnings, she developed an interest in calligraphy - she really enjoy working with the shapes of different letters. However, fashion was and remains her passion, her escape valve. At 15, she took the flared trousers of her older brother and cut them up to make a three-quarter length pair of trousers with a narrow waist; less than a year later and it was a fashion trend.

In Italy she found what she had been looking for and felt immediately at home. Nature is her inspiration; fired by her imagination, she's developed a sweeping vision enabling her to create new designs. She loves to work with pure, sustainable materials of high quality. Her designs are a harmonious interaction of various elements, brought together to make a whole.

The MarosEtti brand

And so the idea of designing handbags was born and the MarosEtti brand was created. The bags are targeted at the independent woman with a love of fashion and sustainable products. They have a classic look with a romantic touch here and there. In addition, each and every bag is made from high quality, soft Italian leather. All the metal accessories are designed by Els Demeersman and then produced by family businesses. These exclusive bags are made from Italian organic leather. Altogether, a fascinating and sustainable collection with a contemporary, modern touch.

Classic handbags with a twist

The MarosEtti handbag is a classic, but with a fun vibe and contrasting colours; ideal for taking to work during the day or to a party in the evening. The add-on accessory (or skirt) is available separately. Passion marks the inside of each bag – fuchsia-coloured leather of the highest quality.
